A real Qronika publication

See the story behind the piece.

Every finished creation has a history that cannot be seen just by looking at it.

This real Qronika example shows how a maker's photographs, Milestones and personal account can become a published story connected to the finished work.

The finished creation

Seating Benches

Made by Albert Chen at Al's shed

Inspired by The Wood Whisperer, Albert used leftover Tasmanian oak floorboards and timber reclaimed from old church pews to create a pair of seating benches.

The finished benches reveal the craftsmanship. Their recorded story reveals something more: the origins of the materials and the journey from reclaimed timber to useful furniture.

The story behind the benches

Materials with a past. A creation with a story.

The publication follows the making journey through photographs and recorded Milestones.

It brings together the materials, stages of construction and details that give the finished benches their individual history.

This is the maker's own account of how the work came together.

Explore the published record

See what a Qronika publication looks like.

The sealed publication presents the story of the benches, including around 40 photographs documenting the project from reclaimed materials to finished pieces.

It provides a shareable record that someone can explore without needing access to the maker's private project.

Connected to the finished piece

A QR badge brings the story along.

A QR badge displayed with or attached to a handmade piece can link directly to its published Qronika story.

For a future owner or visitor, a simple scan can reveal the maker's account of the materials, construction and craftsmanship behind the object.

The badge is a connection to the story, not a certificate of authenticity.

Your creation has a story too.

Whether you work with timber, metal, clay, textiles or another medium, the moments behind your creation are worth remembering.

Capture your Milestones privately, then choose whether to preserve and share the finished story.
